Behind the table

Hi, I'm Daniela.

I started Dorado because every pair of cheap hoops I bought turned green by August. So I went looking for pieces that hold up to a Houston summer, and the friends I gave them to kept asking where to buy more.

Now it's me, a folding table and a lot of mirrors. I'll tell you honestly what each piece is made of and how long it'll last. If something doesn't hold up, bring it back.

Before you buy

Will it tarnish or turn my skin green?

Gold-filled won't. It has a thick layer of real 14k gold and will last for years. The plated pieces are 18k over stainless steel and keep their color for a long time if you take them off for the pool and the gym.

Can I shower with my permanent bracelet?

Yes. Shower, swim, sleep. Pat it dry with a towel and that's all the care it needs.

What if I need it off for an MRI or surgery?

Snip it with scissors right next to the weld. Bring the chain back and we'll weld it on again for free.

Are you hypoallergenic?

Everything is nickel-free. If you have sensitive ears, go with gold-filled or sterling and ask us at the table which hoops to try.
